A n e w t y p e o f E - C V T, w i t h m a x i m u m Linear motors, initially acclaimed for their automotive applications, have developed commercially over the past 15 years. They are now used i n t h e i n d u s t r i a l s e c t o r, p a r t i c u l a r l y in automation where their abilities to provide translatory rectilinear movement are especially useful. torque and improved gear ratios, result of an efficient combination of epicycloidal gearing with a chain CVT and electric motor.

(ZF Lenksysteme) SUV X5 The technical characteristics and advantages of the active steering wheel system by ZF Lenksysteme, installed for the first time in an X5 series BMW SUV.
Studies have been performed on normal cylinder gears with straight plastic teeth (PA) with finite elements (FE) to stimulate the meshing wheels during the meshing cycle. The analysis allows for static transmission error, inflexibility of combined torsion meshing, and load distribution. The information gathered can help optimize design, especially to avoid significant wear and tear.
